Hey girls! So I’m starting this new section. Sometimes I’m going to come on here and post some beauty tips for the outside and or the inside. So lets get started!
Beauty tip 1: For a in look on your nails, paint your nails a cute fun color. Then on 1 nail make a design. It can be done easier with nail art pens, nail design polish, or even sometimes tape! To use tape, take scotch tape and paint on the non sticky side. Then using scissors or nail scissors, cut the tape and apply it to your nail. Then add a generous amount of top coat. Remember to use your newly painted hands to the good of others.
Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another
If you were to go back over all the conversations you ever had with your friends, would you be happy? Content? Or would you be in shame about what you could have talked about except the newest fashion trend or music video you saw?
In Proverbs 17:27 it talks about iron sharpening iron. You may be thinking “Wow! I didn’t know this was a construction devotion!”. Well, it’s not. That’s not what the verse means. It means that one person can help grow another person. Not phisically, spiritually. So your conversations on spiritual topics can help the other and vice versa.
So if you were to start making more conversations toward Christ and less about temporary topics, would both of you grow in Christ? I think you should try this yourself.
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
1 Peter 3:3-4
I love the verses above. It goes on to talk about the women of the Bible and how they were. But I want to focus on these verses. How many times do we want to look good? Putting our hair up and wearing expensive clothes and jewelry. Now this doesn’t mean to go around wearing cloth and letting your hair grow like Rapunzels. It means that you shouldn’t make all your beauty focused on your outside, when your inside is what matters. You can’t spend all your time on your outer beauty and have a beautiful inner beauty. It doesn’t work that way. You can only have your main focus. Now I am not saying you can’t look good on the inside and look good on outside. You can! You just need to focus on where your priorities are.
I will be a Father to you, and you shall be my daughters, says The Lord Almighty.
2 Corinthians 6:18
That verse makes me feel loved. It makes me feel special. Does it make you feel special? I hope so. The Lord loves us, His daughters. He loves us, even when we unloved. He is there for us, 24-7. I hope you know that.
Feel The Light is a song by Britt Nicole. Its really nice. I recommend it. It really talks about going to God at that one moment and letting go of sin, and then God just surrounding you in his presence. It is one of her best songs.
